Checking receipts on cards

How do I check if I won money if my receipts are on my credit card or yoyo card?

You can connect credit cards and easycards to your MOF-account (where all the online Fapiaos are stored). I don’t remember the exact process, but you need to add a “vehicle” or something on the website and then choose credit card or easycard. For easycard, you need to go to FamilyMart to get a secret code or something. If you do the connection, then all future Fapiaos will be directly transferred into your MOF-account.

If the invoice is already on the card, I think you can check at convenience stores if you won.

Also, if you link your easycard to your easywallet account, you can also check there if you won.

“Easiest” way is to go to a 7-11 that’s not busy and find a helpful clerk to assist you with the iBon machine

That’s so convoluted lol. I’m not sure why Taiwan always makes these things so confusing.

I think at least some of my bank apps allow me to enter my mobile carrier code there somewhere in the settings, then I can also enter it in online shopping websites, and of course I could also just scan the carrier barcode on my phone when I’m using my credit card to buy something in a store. Do we really need so many different ways to do something?

Sometimes when I buy something, it seems like my mobile carrier code should be transmitted at least twice, possibly three times, e.g., because I’ve set it in Shopee, JKOPay, and my banking app. I wonder what would happen if there was a conflict there and someone had used different codes in different places.

I’m also never really sure if certain things are gonna show up in the MOF app, e.g., if I pay my water bill using JKOPay, and whether I’ve done the right thing to “import” them. It’s kind of a mess tbh.

Yeah, but then again at least they do something: Is the current system perfect? Far from it!

But it’s still somewhat amazing that they managed to put together a system that allows everyone involved to have paper-less invoices over a common system which is overall still easy to use (just scan the barcode on your phone and the invoice will be in the app). In probably 80% of the cases, this works very straightforward and flawless.

I don’t know any other country that managed to do this!

I feel like the issue with Taiwan is mostly that once an 80% solution is found, people will stop improving it because it’s “good enough”. But still better than what I feel is common in Europe: Never even introduce the 80% solution because it’s not a 110% solution and then everyone is stuck with a 0% solution because it has always been that way…

It’s quite annoying because they just put it into my Costco credit card it easy card without asking me. When I ask for the receipt they say it’s in the card….

Yeah, fair point. :slightly_smiling_face:
