Is there a national chess scene at all in Taiwan? I’ve contacted the Taipei organization multiple times on their site and via fb with no reply (Mandarin and English.)
If anyone has any knowledge of local tournaments or casual clubs I’d be grateful.

Tuesday nights, Teabar. 10-20 people. Chess player told me it’s about all there is for meetups. But there must be more.
Appreciated, around 2100 or so?
Not sure of official start time. Maybe 8pm
People start showing up around 7-730pm Tuesdays at Tea Bar.
Many thanks.
Happening now.
Be here or be square I mean be there or be square.
Or pick your square black or white
Bit far for me to get to to play some chess but I do play online. It’s free to to play and you can create an account then play with friends.
Huh what?
Yes you can stay home and play with yourself. Never go out.
Or go out and meet some people and palay a game.
Yes Taipei only a 5 hour trip for me so to come and play I would need a night over as well.
Maybe one day lol
Usually around 7 pm. Players of different levels, rated from 1000 to 2200 or so.
Will they play tomorrow and if so until what time? I have a dinner at 8pm in Taipei might turn up later if people are still playing.
If people are interested (let’s say 7 upvotes and a reply), I will setup a discord server for
