🏰 Chiayi | Chateau de Jourdeness

Taiwan’s Palace of Versailles

No location info or Chinese name provided in the article.

At first glance, it kind of reminds me of the equally garish Chimei Museum in Tainan, visible en route from the HSR station to the city center.

What’s up with this faux euro style?

Care to explain what Chateau de Jourdeness actually is, “news reporter”?

Is it a museum, a hotel, a theme park, a mall,… what? Who owns it, who built it, for what purpose, where is it exactly…

How can you write, like 300 words, and not provide any helpful information?

The Baroque-style castle was opened in an industrial park to showcase the company’s [i.e. biotech firm Jourdeness Company’s] skin care products and SPA services.

Maybe this is only an empty building.

I know that you can find info about the place elsewhere, was just complaining about Taiwan News.

I remember this place a few months ago. Literally driving through a pure designated industrial park and warehouses and this building is along the street.

My initial thought it must be some company showplace

Your initial thought seems to be right!

Guy

This is a government constructed building?

No.

Chateau de Jourdeness is a tourism factory for biotechnology skin care products ~ produces natural essential oils /
skin care products / daily necessities.
