China is picking quarrels and provoking trouble

Oh? I was about to check. I get the point though. Times may have changed a little, but I’m sure they will put up a good fight. I would not want to be on a frigate at sea in this conflict though.

Needs American technology.

This is what happens when I post off the top of my head.

He’d have achieved it faster with German generals.

Guess who is throwing toys out of the tram again?

What a clown this guy is. The immediate danger isn’t China’s regional political and economic hegemony, it’s the rebirth of an imperial Japan bombing the great city of Darwin again and taking its male inhabitants POW lol. I wonder if he actually believes the nonsense he’s spewing…

I just saw this:

Yesterday or the day before I heard lots of jet noise coming from above, not sure if related (probably yes, if they were indeed mobilizing the planes).

This is the bit that I found concerning:

So far this month, Beijing has sent 355 military aircraft and 107 naval ships around Taiwan. Since September 2020, China has increased its use of gray zone tactics by routinely sending aircraft into Taiwan’s ADIZ.

I forgot to say that I don’t really know what would be considered a normal monthly number of PLA military airplanes flying around Taiwan. But 355 sounds high and the article says that it’s being growing for the past years.

Provoking, look at those little u-turns over the line

I wonder if none were J20s, or if the Taiwanese radars just didn’t see the J20s, or if the Taiwanese don’t want the Chinese to know that they can see the J20s…

Reminds me of that scene in The Great Escape where the German soldier tries to convince the American POW that the British are America’s real enemies because they burned the White House in 1812.

Russia’s Su-57 have been flying over Ukraine on bombing missions, and I think the Ukrainians couldn’t really see those either.

Do you have a source that they entered Ukraine airspace? I believe they launched their missiles from Russian airspace, entering Ukraine would be incredibly risky.

Well the Russians are saying they did. The UK says they’ve likely not entered Ukrainian airspace. I’m guessing the fact is probably somewhere in the middle, that Su-57 didn’t fly long range strikes deep into Ukrainian space like what a stealth fighter is designed to do, but probably entered areas where they are fairly certain had no advanced anti-air systems for short periods of time.

I read somewhere that they were standoff launches, yeah

And again

Sounds like China is facing a lot of problems in the future

Internal problems may lead to an unstable and more dangerous China

Their food comes by boat. Foreign navies are protecting the safe passage of those boats. They are between a rock and a hard place and can do nothing about it.

They can build a lot of boats
