He has some valid points but without the rule of law and democracy, who in the human world would surely bow to the emperor of one thousand years on a direly dying planet???
If the US doesnât shape up and lead the free world by example, than yeah, China will take over.
The US has to realize that being number 1 wonât last forever if you donât keep trying to improve things. China is the perfect example. China was the number 1 in the world many times through out history, and each time it fell to complaisance. When a society stops seeking to improve itself, and turn focus away from progress toward tradition, and how things have always been done, thatâs when the rest of the world catches up.
Right now, the US has crappy governmental organization, crappy election mechanism, crappy infrastructure, crappy gun laws, crappy health care system, crappy education, crappy opiate control, crappy humanitarian records (private prisons, baby jail) . Itâs not example a shining example of âfreedomâ when more than half of the US population is being left behind and the US is only the best when it comes to armed forces.
China will definitely export its surveillance tech around the world, making it harder for people to standup to oppressive regimes. The only way to defeat that is to have the US and the rest of the free world be and act like the real leaders of global economy.
However, every time you try to warn people about the dirty deals of China they reply: âBut it is the same US/Western powers do!â⌠yeah, let´s all jump off the cliffâŚ
Aside from Russia and Putin I donât foresee other democratic countries siding with the CCP anytime soon. Rule-based order is still the yummylicious flavour of this century!
Depend on how you define siding. Several European countries, such as Italy and Britain are certainly not siding with the US in the 5G war. They have chosen to use Huawei 5G equipment partly due to the cost and partly due to the fact that the US is lagging behind in coming up with its own solution. It goes further back then, to when the 5G spec was drawn. Several European countries support Chinaâs bid to adopt some encryption protocols thatâs under the patent protection of Chinese firms.
The US needs to go into automation with full force to stop China from controlling global manufacturing. To do so without destabilizing itself, some measure like the UBI must be implemented. Itâs an overhaul of the social structure and currently the US seems to rigid to pull it off.
