China visa at the HK International Airport?

Anyone out there grab a one-day visa at the airport? I have no choice in the matter (I have a 6 hour window) and won’t be able to run around the island or into Kowloon for the visa. I’ve been told (and provided a link) that claims I can do it, but I’m interested in hearing anyone’s personal experiences grabbing the visitor’s visa from the airport.

This has been answered many times before. Unless the rules have changed, yes, it’s possible. Be at the airport before 9:30 or 14:30 and you get your visa in 6 hours.

Or call China Travel Service at the HKG Airport to ask them yourself.

I tried on for the last week, in three, two hour blocks (morning, mid afternoon, late afternoon) and it’s ALWAYS busy. It’s just impossible to get through (I used the number on their site, which may be the same as the one you posted, but I am too tired to check at this moment).

Be warned: My husband got his visa at the airport but made an important discovery when researching it. They will not process visas for US passport holders on weekends; only weekdays. Not sure if this applies to other countries or not.
