A great find there, TC. I was surprised to see pictures of the area I grew up, including my home town of Totnes, in Devon.

The intervening hundred or so years have left Vire Island (as it’s now called) still clearly recognisable (this recent shot was taken from the bridge visible in the first picture).

Most unfortunate. This site is certainly not pornography.
Link seems to work fine.
Much better now. Probably today’s internet glitches, that’s all. Great pics, thanks!
Nice photos. Thanks, TC.
If you look at Exeter High Street from the second storey up, it looks pretty much the same these days as it did then.
Portsmouth’s a lot different of course, though they still have the HMS Victory (I’m guessing that’s the Victory in the distance there).

Home!
My grandfather helped pull that old pier down.

On a good day you can easily see France from that standpoint; on a really good day you can’t.
(Just joking, SHAR LEE)

Sandgate Castle, halfway up and a quarter into the picture, is still there. I used to run the old pub between it and the main road. Ah, the memories …

Another old stomping ground. Hasn’t changed at all, except for the road.
Great website!
:bravo:
This is an unbelievable website, but the photos look pretty strange…almost like computer game graphics with a grainy feel. Surreal.
Fantastic site, I really enjoy it.
