News story said oil prices went up, thus condom went up. Now oil is lower so we see lower prices. Some condoms have oil on them, is that from petroleum or some other oil?
That’s usually not how it works.
Manufacturers frequently use lower raw material costs to recover lost profits from past spikes in material costs. Once prices have been increased, they take a long time to come down (unless competition is very strong or there is regulatory pressure).
Well seems oil prices are going back up.
