Confused about taxes

Last year I was obtaining my APRC, so my employer, told the tax department my income so I could get the tax form for my APRC application. I now have my APRC. Today I asked my employer, where my tax owed form was so I could pay last year’s taxes.
She told me that now that I have an APRC, she doesn’t have to claim my income… as she does on her other employees that are attached to her by ARC. That I don’t have to pay taxes… I’m confused… This can’t be legal… do all APRC card holders, not pay taxes?? Doesn’t the government know who we are…??
She said I could file on my own if I wanted to ?? Is that right…?? And how would I properly calculate my income…
Please… I need advise… as… I would think that if one doesn’t pay their taxes for years on end… the government won’t be very happy.

I think you can get away with it as an APRC but I wouldn’t advise it. Does your school supply you with NHI? Did they withhold taxes every month. Did you get paystubs?

No… I pay my own NHI… it’s only 749.00 per month… I applied for the NHI myself…I’m ok with that.
As for pay stubs… no, I ( and all other staff ) just get an envelope stuffed full of cash, ( quite common here in Taiwan ) and since I work full time Kindergarten …I can’t use that, as it clearly states 2 separate incomes… and I know she doesn’t want Income tax to know she’s avoiding taxes on her English teachers in Kindie.
Do I guesstimate and go in and say this is my income… won’t they want to know where I work and ask for pay stubs…?? I really think she’s shooting herself in the foot by being lazy about this.
It’s such a mickey mouse operation… no legal principal on site… the van isn’t legally registered to the school… the list goes on… I’m giving her 1 month notice and leaving very soon…

I have no advice for those that knowingly subject themselves to such a horseshit operation. No offense to you but I just don’t have any advice. At least you are getting out of there.

No offense taken… I think I’ll go to the tax department and tell them she won’t supply me with the tax amount owed… and let the chips fall where they may… if she wants them involved… ??

To finish the story, today I went to the Tax Office and explained to them, that I wanted to pay my taxes… but didn’t know my income.
They said, it’s your employer that reports this, not you. They called her and requested that she file my income earned…
and now that she is wrong and made a wee fool of herself… well… today should be an interesting day at work…
( 5 days till I give my proper notice )
