Questions for any consultants out there. I know this is a very broad questions with many variables that can be factored into it, but what is the average rate in Taipei for consultants. Excluding business expenses, etc, just the flat hourly rate charged? I am talking about independent consultants for strategic/new business startup consulting.

I have a friend working as a strategic/new business consultant. She charges $800 per hour and provides annual packages, including 30 hrs consulting, for almost 18,000 dollars.
If it is in their particular area of experience and expertise, be wary of paying less than NT$1,200 - $1,500 per hour. “Chabuduo Consulting Service” may be more expensive in the long run.
Also, per hour may not be the best way to get the information the client is in need of. It may take several hours to simply work out what is really needed.
