Do you mean an electric hotplate like the ones they have in shabu-shabu restaurants? You can get them in any electric appliance store or any of the department stores. Don’t know how much they cost, though.
Yes. A month or more ago I went into one of those cheap sell-everything stores and they had one for nt$600 and one for nt$600 on sale, but I went back this week and they only had nt$1200-or-more ones and nowhere else had the cheap ones.
Can’t you hold off for a couple more weeks? There are always big sales right after Chinese new year, so you might be able to pick up a cheap one then.
