At least it decreases the likelihood of accidentally swallowing pieces of trash. Just sayin’.

Why this manipulative meme to make me fear the science?!?!?!
Not actual science of course…just the phrase “trust the science,” which is rarely about actual science.
I don’t know, doesn’t sound very scientific. How about:
One ought to place confidence in the empirical rigor and methodological integrity that underpins the scientific process, rather than invoking the colloquial expression “trust the science,” which often diverges from the genuine essence of scientific inquiry.
Better (although that’s not what people who say “trust the science” generally mean), now if only it rolled off the tongue.
