I believe it’s a reference to the WW2 VD-awareness campaign. My recollection may be wrong (because it doesn’t make much sense and I can’t find it on google) but I think the original reads “look her in the eye and give her gonorrhea”.
Funny how things change. In those days they actually had something to worry about.
When I posted it, I thought many would not get it.
Actually it is a take on (and those WW2 posters Finley mentioned may well have influenced the Behavioural Insights Team when they designed) these ads:
The man in the photo I posted above is then current Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt Hancock, who with such a surname comes under to many other names.
He was quite despised by many in the UK. He has ties to Klaus Schwab and the WEF, and the medical Industrial Complex (part owns a genome sequencing company - the new buzz thing we will start seeing more of) so he will probably be back by Easter.
In the picture he is kissing his aide who he was having an affair with at the time (from a few weeks ago). Plus he was ignoring the covid ‘rules’ he rigorously claimed to follow. (I remember seeing him walk into Downing Street months ago and begin to take his mask off).
She was hired by him. Her brother’s company (related to Covid) or the one he worked for was given a multi-million pound contract signed by Hancock.
And these are real bill board posters a group has put up in the UK.
There’s precious little information about how COVID affected the Amish - unsuprisingly, since it’d ruin the whole narrative - but I was able to find a few snippets. If anyone is interested, I’ll post them in the humbug thread.
Thanks for the explanation, but if you thought people weren’t going to get it, why not at least say who the guy was e.g. by throwing in a link to his Wiki? It takes about five seconds.
I had read about his scandal btw. I just didn’t recognize him or get the reference to the local ad campaign.
