For those with the patience to read it, “John Dee” (a proper healthcare statistician whose sandals I am not worthy to untie) has done an incredible job of analyzing excess deaths in the UK with a drill-down into ICD-10 codes.
TL;DR : he concludes pretty much what I did a few days ago, ie., there was no pandemic worthy of the name, and that April 2020 may have been an episode of iatrogenic death. Exactly what happened there is hard to pin down due to deliberate and sustained obfuscation, but there appears to have something really dodgy going on. At best, someone has gone to a lot of effort to disguise the fact that something dodgy was going on.
One thing I learned here is that cancer and heart-disease deaths (two of the top five killers of the elderly in most countries) exhibit seasonality. There is also very dramatic seasonality in fatal mental disorders. Who’d have thought?
I’d be interested to know what the proponents of lockdowns, quarantines, masks, and experimental voodoo medicine have to say about this. Was there a deadly pandemic that merited three years of drastic intervention in everyone’s lives? And if there was, where is its signature in these data?
Yeah, all the numbers are garbage (including, of course, the nonsense that drops out of the bottom of the CECC). “John Dee” appears to have got hold of some slightly more useful data, but it’s still garbage.
This cannot possibly be an accident. The people who produce this stuff are at the top of their game, so the only logical conclusion - particularly since the obfuscation is both subtle and devastating - is that they’re doing it deliberately.
IMO one big problem here is the modern obsession with “big data”, and the accompanying rash of policy wonks who sit at their desks looking at “dashboards” on their PCs. It’s been a persistent article of faith for 10+ years that “big data” will deliver all the answers, given enough processing power to sift through it. I think I’m reasonably well-qualified to offer an observation on this: big data is only useful where you’re looking at small effects in a background of well-characterized noise. Otherwise, you end up missing the wood for the trees. I can offer an example here. Dr John Snow figured out that he had a very local problem with cholera using nothing more than a pencil and paper and a bit of close observation, and was able to take appropriate action. If they’d had “big data” back in the day, an 1850s version of Matt Wanksock might have stood up in parliament, announced that there was a countrywide epidemic of cholera, and that every pump handle in the land must be removed.
If only doctors had been left alone to do what they normally do - observe and gossip among themselves - the core characteristics of COVID would have been quickly pinned down, and doctors would have developed treatment protocols for the very small number of people who were likely to be affected. Instead, we got an entirely fictional “pandemic”.
That’s where you lose most of the fence-sitters. They can see by now the whole thing was dodgy, but they don’t want to take it any further than “well-meaning, honest mistakes were made.” It’s that one step too far. Ignorance is bliss, etc.
Exactly. Let doctors be doctors, right?
A few dedicated and sober tinfoilers thought so quite a while ago. Pseudopandemic, by Iain Davis was written mid 2021. Well-researched, everything is evidenced. IMO he nailed it spot on. It’s free to subscribers.
Is this why Taiwan is continuing to delay loosening restrictions?
Yasuharu Tokuda, a physician at the Health and Global Policy Institute, noted that the Japanese population’s natural immunity - acquired through infection - had been low before the middle of last year.
He says natural immunity is stronger than that obtained from vaccination - and so low infection rates have led to low immunity in Japan, which in turn is causing more deaths.
What? Really? Who would have foreseen that?
Delaying the inevitable……
Sorry! Delaying and making the inevitable even worse.
