The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (17) that there were 1,303 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan, including 1,210 local cases and 93 imported cases (82 were positive for flight landing tests); there were no new confirmed case deaths.
The command center said that there were 1,210 new local cases today, including 566 males and 644 females, aged between 5 and 90 years old, with onset dates between April 6, 2022 and April 17, today (2022). Today, 663 of them were asymptomatic infections. The distribution of cases is New Taipei City (410 cases), Taipei City (201 cases), Taoyuan City (180 cases), Hualien County (119 cases), Keelung City (107 cases), Yilan County (52 cases), Kaohsiung City (35 cases) ), Taichung City (22 cases), Taitung County (21 cases), Pingtung County (14 cases), Tainan City (10 cases), Hsinchu City (9 cases), Changhua County (8 cases), Hsinchu County (7 cases) Example), Yunlin County (6 cases), Miaoli County (5 cases), Nantou County (2 cases), Chiayi City and Chiayi County (1 case each). The command center explained that today’s new cases of immigration from abroad are 41 males, 51 females, and 1 case under investigation, aged between 5 and 60 years old, from Vietnam (16 cases), the Philippines (3 cases), Thailand and Indonesia (1 case each) moved in, and another 72 cases are under investigation. The entry date is from April 7 to April 16 this year.
The command center pointed out that cases 32718 and 32723 were local cases announced on April 16 this year. After the epidemic investigation, the cases entered Vietnam on April 12 and March 23 this year, respectively, and the cases were changed to imported cases.
According to the statistics of the command center, up to now, a total of 7,689,094 notifications related to the new coronavirus pneumonia have been reported in Taiwan (including 7,654,241 excluded), of which 34,507 were confirmed, including 9,695 imported cases, 24,758 local cases, 36 Dunmu Fleet cases, 3 aircraft infections, 1 Unknown cases and 14 cases under investigation; 1 new case with empty number (the original local case 29813, which was negative after the epidemic adjustment, was changed to empty number), and a total of 194 cases were removed as empty number. Since 2020, a total of 854 COVID-19 deaths have been reported, of which 840 are local. The counties and cities where the cases reside are 413 in New Taipei City, 322 in Taipei City, 30 in Keelung City, 28 in Taoyuan City, 15 in Changhua County, and 15 in Hsinchu County. 13 cases, 5 cases in Taichung City, 3 cases in Miaoli County, 2 cases each in Yilan County and Hualien County, and 1 case each in Hsinchu City, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County and Taitung County; 14 cases were imported from abroad.
