The Yang Wenko case involves a development company cutting corners causing multiple sink holes on the surrounding roads, and destroyed several cars.
The county government repeatedly permitted the development company to resume construction and resulted in more sink holes. This also wasn’t the first project from this development company that created sink holes. Back in 2015, the same company also caused a giant sink hole in Tikpak (Zhubei).
This development company has been in the news a lot lately. It is also the company that built the luxury tower in Hsinchu that caught fire and killed two firemen. Prior to changing its name, it was responsible for 28 deaths in 921 Earthquake.
So far, the KMT hasn’t done or said anything.
