Every building I have lived in has them in the hallways.
This is interesting about Taiwan as a $14 000 NTD a month apartment back home would not have security cameras.
I can only presume that they must be dirt cheap to buy and install in Taiwan.
Any idea around how much is costs to install a hallway security camera in Taiwan?
Only know I paid NT$30,000 for someone to install 8 cameras including running the wires throughout my farm house and 2T storage. Most people think I paid too much.
Can spend a little or a lot. Full setups can be expensive.
Price for simple setups keeps going down.
Very cheap route would be a simple battery operated camera, wifi-connected to your home wifi. Then use computer or apps to monitor or record. All in 3-5 thousand NT$ or so.
Amazon has a branded camera recently out this exact type of purpose ~us$100.
Buy the kit from Costco, 8000nt, 4 cameras.
Do all the wiring and setup yourself.
Or pay someone to do it…
That seems like a fairly common reasonable price to me for that type of setup. Could have been a lot more or a little less.
What app would you use?
I’m looking for a security camera system, and really the only remote-accessible cameras I’m considering is with end-to-end encryption. I think only apples HomeKit secure video is available at a consumer level, but none Of their options have local storage.
I was thinking of an entirely closed system, but then someone could just take the base and run, so wanted something to upload to the cloud as well.
It seems what I want is the unicorn and I haven’t found a consumer grade solution.
