Are there any country/social type clubs in Taipei for expats? What are the options?
American Club in China
- expensive, located near the Grand Hotel
Xinyi Country Club - cheaper than the above but run down and non-english speaking

mmm… some good options… american club, chiense club, HH, nudism… things are lookin gup.
There is the Yuan Shan Club. Great pool - traditional olympic sized, fresh clean & cold water w/ a 3 meter diving board. The rest is crap.
I’m in the subway club. You buy eight sandwiches and then you can get one free.
But you have to buy a drink! There’s no such thing as a free lunch my boy.
The American Club isn’t that expensive and it is quite a nice club with a lot of activities and great facilities and food.

That is corporate membership which is about double the individual membership that includes your spouse and children too.
Hummm…tell me more about what you plan to do with the Canadian club! I might consider joining!
