Couture vs Lesnar!

I’m not saying that Lesnar wasn’t good. In fact, I thought I said that. But there was no point, until the end in which Couture was in trouble or even out of control. Even when Lesnar took him down (which was impressive), he was never in danger and was able to recover without a lot of effort. It wasn’t until he got hit that Couture was ever in any danger and Lesnar appeared in slightest in control.

This doesn’t mean he didn’t look great. He took down Randy Couture and almost mounted him. He didn’t rush in like a maniac like he did with Mir and Herring. He waited until he had a chance. He took a lot of punishment to get their, but he knew what he could do if he had the chance and he did it. He had a strategy and he kept to it. He won because of that. It was impressive. And on top of all this, he was a great sport about winning. It was an impressive all-around show.

My man lost, but I’m not disappointed. The sport grew from this.
