I thought meal was included in the price in quarantine hotel rooms. I didn´t have any option to add that extra to my quarantine room reservation to avoid any inconvenience.

You may have just been Uber-foodqed by the hotel.
The ones I walked into prior to going on holiday all had the meal/no meal option, with their corresponding prices. The 3 daily meals I was given were all pretty good and varying. My suggestion if to visit the hotel and talk to those in the lobby. I was able to negotiate an exercise bike for a reasonable add-on fee.
