- Date of follow up call: June 6 2023
- Date of credit report check: June 3 2023
- Date of approval: June 13 2023
- Date of arrival: June 15 2023
- Time from application to card recieved: 3 weeks
- Guarantor required? No
- Secured deposit required? No
- Apply where? Online
- Credit limit given: Charge card, but someone on the phone mentioned 150k???

Not a fun time applying for this. I sent the paper part of the application right away but it seems like they never received it so I had to send everything again through email when they asked about it a week after application (the whole point of using snail mail was not to send my personal info in cleartext over the web 
). Next day someone kept calling me every 20 minutes for about two hours clarifying things in chinese. Turns out investment statements don’t count and bank balance needs to be there for 6 months not 3. Few days later called again. Then 2 days later someone else finally calls in Enlgish. Got card two days after that.
It feels as if someone stole my mail package and tried to extract more information from me while pretending to be amex. Not happy with the experience.
PS: the web portal looks so damn archaic
