'Crocs' shoes in Taiwan

They look like clown shoes. Seriously. I mean, you need a matching colored ball to stick to your nose.

The Tingzhou Road store (in Gonguan) is near to where you turn off for the Taipei Water Park. It is on the corner of Tingzhou Road and Si Yuan Street, across from a FamilyMart, near the police station too. Those things look really terrible, in my opinion, but people who have worn them say they’re very comfortable.

You’re thinking of Ray Kroc who founded MacDonald’s.

Erm. No I wasn’t. You’re a modern culture trivia genius, BFM.

I learned that Crocs are now being sold at SOGO in Taichung.

SEE??? They ARE the height of fashion!!!

Incidentally, rumor has it George Clooney wears Crocs and he’s the world’s sexiest man. :nyah:

Since my son put on his first pair of Crocs he has refused to wear anything else now my daughter keeps asking for a pair but I guess I’ll wait until spring. I wouldn’t put on a pair though, too ugly, but the did have some new ballerina flats in that may be a possibilty.

I know you aren’t looking in Taipei, but they just opened a store within the Warner Village, just on the one corner of the movie theatre complex. I agree, they are starting to catch on over here (God knows why), but much like most of the fashion over here, it’s strange and a little behind.

Whether the style is for you or not, these are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever tried on and I can wear them in the rain. They are waterproof and great for Taiwan.

You can wear any shoe in the rain. Your feet are covered in a substance called SKIN, which protects them from damage. I’m a Havianas woman myself.

God, Crocs are grim.

Crocs are weatherproof because they can get wet and won’t be ruined like other shoes.

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned already, but there’s a shop that sells them on the mezzanine level of the Taipei Arena.

There is a new Crocs store next to the night market in Luodong, I-Lan, for all of you Crocs lovers!
It is on Mincyuan Road

And for all of you who haven’t worn a pair of Crocs, I can personally tell you that they are truly the lightest, most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Do your feet a favor and try some on instead of putting them down! Yes, they look a bit clunky, but the colors make up for it. They are the closest you can get to bare feet, which isn’t recommended in the broken glass and dog-doo ridden streets of Taiwan.

And for a good laugh, look at these funny pictures, all from Taiwan:

There is a CROC STORE in the department store next to Taipei 101 - Millions and Millions of Croc’s. It is in the same building as the movie theater and Coldstone Creamery

Posted already.

I still can’t work out which part of the croc these shoes are made from.

Or perhaps you mean:
I’d like a pair of aligator shoes, please.
Certainly Sir, what size feet does your alligator have?

LoL, I hear that hikers really like them after a long day of hiking. They are definitely on the wrong side of fashion but they are supposed to be comfortable. I have never tried a pair. but here is the link if you are confusededddeed.

I got a pair of knockoffs for 300 bucks. They’re extremely uncomfortable because they rub the top of my feet raw. Your feet also slip and slide inside them if its wet. Horrible things.

Crocs are great for walking on the beach, too:

Sorry, it’s raining right now and I’m a bit bored (Crocs are also great for walking in the rain, though).

I want a pair for the rainy season and yeah, they look like great beach shoes. Apparently you can buy fake ones at “Two Tigers” shoe stores that wear as well as the originals. According to a co-worker, anyway.
