Are there any cruise ship operations like starcruise before where you would like to unwind for 3 days.
All the cruises I saw are longer than 3 days, but this site might lead to others?

Once in a while there is a perfect, perfect conjunction of avatar and question.
Sorry OP, wish I had something more helpful to provide!
I’ve never been on a cruise, but recently someone I went to dinner with was telling me they really enjoy them.
After doing some research, I found that not all cruises are the same and there’s different demographics and price points to them. I was recommended SilverSea as a more luxury type but there are others I’m looking at.
But I’m not convinced I’ll enjoy them, the only major benefit I see is going to multiple locations and having local expeditions out on land with the cruise. It seems like it would be boring just being on them?
Anyone gone on them and like or dislike the experience?
Buffets are a waste for me.
Getting herded on and off the ship at port calls is a pain.
All you can drink alcohol is a waste because can do that at home.
Do you remember which cruise line you went with?
Family members have done Seattle-Hawaii and other cruises. I think they’re good for older folk, especially in groups. Lots of entertainment, food options, exercise areas, and of course the stops along the way.
For me–no way. I simply love spontaneity and cultural tourism, not just eating, comfort, and group tour stuff.
A friend of mine sold her house and is on a three year cruise. I think she’s bonkers.
There’s plenty of stuff to do on the boat and you get to see lots of different places along the way.
So you’re in the enjoyed them side of things?
Maybe I’ll try a short one and see if it’s for me.
I don’t think you’d like them.
For me it’s a hard “no”—too much pointless food waste, and problems with disease as spectacularly shown when the COVID emergency broke out. What a nightmare! I’d rather have more control over my itinerary, unless perhaps the ship was headed to places that would otherwise be very difficult to visit.

Being an adult entails, at least partially, knowing that we could do this, but we don’t do this, because that would be a bad idea. Sort of like me eating nothing but cookies for the next week! ![]()

Never been but seems like I’m always thinking about it. Blue water cruising is definitely on my bucket list.
Can’t get over the idea of being hosed as a captive guest by the cruise lines, though. I mean, drinks, excursions, spas are all pricey; their casinos offer worse odds as the price of daily access to gambling (worse odds than Vegas). Every thing cruises do seems to be a way to price gouge their paying guests.
I believe SilverSea are a one-price luxury cruise line, though. So their cruises run around US$1k per guest per night, no extra for excursions or drinks, not sure about spas. Pricey but no nickel and dime shenanigans.
I enjoyed river cruises, Rhine Danube and the Nile, small boats best and always something to see en route.
Sea cruises from UK and USA to class conscious (I’m a silver member etc etc) too much food and boring days at sea
It’s not my typical means of travel. I’m more of a culture + nightlife city trip type of guy. But I did about half a dozen cruises and enjoyed them.
Generally speaking if you have many interests and easily find something to keep you occupied and if you like meeting people, cruises can be fun. If you easily get bored and spend your days on instagram or whatever it is that you guys play with these days, just stay home and save the money.
I never been on cruises, but it seems like when you’re stick on a giant prison ship with a bunch of people that you pay a ton of money to be on, it’s a huge turn off.
I feel like nature walks in other countries are better for your money, perhaps buy a bunch of meat and go roast meat out in the wild (just keep the bears away).
I was interested if anyone could provide a more useless reply than mine. You stepped up to the plate.
Nile cruise is definitely something I would do. Ive heard it’s also much safer than to travel by car to different locations in Egypt.
I am more of a forumosa man, myself.
