I’ll call customs here tomorrow and try to get a definitive answer for you.

Whenever I have returned to Indonesia from Taiwan, a (large) portion of my bag is packed with tea, noodles, shallot sauce etc. On occasion the customs agents have asked for me to open my bag, but never have they confiscated anything.
Make sure that any loose tea is in a sealed pack with the original label.

I’ve learned that since last year the limit for alcohol has been raised from 1000ml to 2500ml. I’ll check on this too.

If you are buying items at duty free, you can ask the cashier to check for any restrictions at your destination (which they should do anyways, as a matter of course).

Indonesia usually hunts down on cigarettes and alcoholic drinks. Unless you bring a full bag of tea, almost certain it will be alright.
Expensive “new” items will be taxed though. Say hand watches, cellphones and laptops.
