Hi, my father is coming sometime in November for a stay for up to six months (so he says). Can anyone recommend a process for him to stay here with me or otherwise avoid visa runs and other hassles? He’s not going to be working; just avoiding a Canadian Winter.

FAIK Canadians get 90 day visa free. Just go on a short hop somewhere and come back and get another 90 . Thats 180 days there.

But why not do the 30 day landing visa, take a trip to the Philippines, HK, Malaysia, Vietnam, etc and repeat?
