Dapinglin Subway Location

[quote=“Toe Save”]Slightly off-topic, but Tiggre or any anyone else,

Any Subways deeper south on Roosevelt (actually would prefer Bei Shin Lu locations?) than the Tai-Da shoppe?

Thanks for the heads up. I took a swing in and aroud Exit 1 tonight and couldn’t see it. Could it have been replaced by a Starbucks?

Sorry you missed it-maybe it’s exit 2, oops. It’s there though, I went past it today but didn’t look in. It’s directly opposite the main exit for Dapinglin. I’m not sure about Starbucks. Possibly that’s on the right going down Bei Xing Rd, which places Subway on the left 100m away. I’ll get their full add. next time I’m in the area.

EDIT: When I first said Exit 1, I was guessing-and sorry I was wrong. I assumed #1 would be the main exit of DaPingLin-but it’s Exit 3. Hope that helps…

Thanks again.

Toe, if what you’re looking for is westernized food, while you’re in the area, check out the bakery next to Subway, they have nice bagels: whole wheat, blueberry, etc. There is also Route 66 -the new tex-mex restaurant close by.

The guys at Subway are still getting their act together, service can be a bit patchy at times and they run out of staples -different kinds of bread- often, or at least as often as I go there. However, business seems brisk, hope they are encouraged to open another one further down the line, like Bitan or Xiao Bitan.

Have you been? If so, could you stick a quick review in the restaurants forum please?

And how close by is it?
I’d go today if I knew where it was.

home.trtc.com.tw/INFO92/ebig.asp?SID=036 has a map.

For Subway, go out exit 3, and as you come up the escalator, look straight in front of you. Its across the street just a couple storefronts up from the corner. Try not to get run over. If you turn left you’ll see a great Japanese place, that only serves 8 dishes, look for the 8, I think its a chain.

For Starbucks, go out exit 1, the escalator practically dumps you into the Starbucks.

Route 66 is a little hard to find, but its not much further from the exits than Starbucks or Subway, but its down an alley. Look carefully for signs shaped like US highway signs. I suppose I’d go out exit 1, turn 90 degrees to my right, cross the street dodging traffic, then keep going straight and head into the alley about 30 feet. Food was a bit salty but, closer to proper steak than say, Noble Family Steak House…
