Hi. I am looking for a cell phone data plan. Which place in Taipei/Taoyuan caters to foreigners seeking a cell phone plan? Also, which cell phone plan do you recommend within Taiwan? Thanks
It depends on what your needs are. I’ve been with Taiwan Mobile (Dageda) for years and have a $1000 NTD for six months data plan. I forgot how many gigabytes I get, but it’s enough to last me 6 months. I don’t play video games or watch movies/YouTube on my phone so it’s great and cheap for me.
How long are you here for? Living or visiting? Do you have an ARC? An APRC? Etc…

TW mobile works fine for me. Their 5G has good coverage. Not much complaints other than they want my passport even though I’m on APRC and several features in their app say foreigners cannot use.
Chunghwa mobile - tried two branches, both asked for guarantor for ARC. I heard some branches will waive it if you give them a deposit.

Tried tourist unlimited data options from both of these. Can confirm work fine with no contract even for home internet (high usage).
