Taiwan, decent Japanese but forget HK or Thai, eh? I have to go back to the Isaan place in Taipei Main though, hope it survived

Btw, if you’re into HK style sweets (the hot or cold soupy types), I think Kai Kai (佳佳甜品)—on the same level of Taipei Main as the Isaan place, up on the second floor, near the southwest corner—is pretty solid. I really like the black sesame soup!

It’ll cost you around NT$100. Take out is professionally packed. Or you can enjoy it in their rather small space using proper porcelein, which is much appreciated.

A slightly larger open air environment is available at Kai Kai’s other branch out in Xinyi in the cluster of ShinKong Mitsukoshi Department Stores.

I go there a couple times a year with friends and it’s just okay.

Yep. We used to go to Liufoo Ke Zhan once in a while, but that’s gone. Wondering what else is out there now.
