Does anyone know if the government/ministry of education here in Taiwan recognize degrees obtained through distance learning ? Would be useful to know while considering my options.
They don’t recognize distance degrees.
However, it depends on what you want it for. If it’s just to get a B.A. so you can teach legally at a buxiban, the gov’t won’t know (as long as the degree doesn’t SAY it’s a distance degree.) Lots of dodgy degrees are accepted by the gov’t here, not because they’re OK, but simply because the gov’t doesn’t know what’s legit and what isn’t.
