You can’t blame everything on the English teachers. Some of those DJ-fellers do this for a living.

Look, my lady is 22 and raised on mandopop. Can I just have some western dance songs for both of us as a compromise? Is it too much to ask?
very easy, youtube is your friend. I gave up years ago looking for my kind of thing, so I just live vicariously through my mates back home and new finds on youtube. 
Maybe somebody could find a niche here by running a dance club that plays full songs.
