Hi everyone,
So Im asking this question because I have been getting a really mixed variety of answers from veteran teachers and also have read different responses here on the boards. Some people say that no, cram schools hire all year long. But other say that they model the semester systems like public schools and that after September there will only be crappy jobs left over. I am planning to come to Taipei around August 20th. I was under the impression that this wouldnt matter since I will be applying to cram schools (I dont have teaching experience, etc). I have applied to 26 jobs online and have 3 schools interested in interviewing me once I arrive. But I also plan to just hit the pavement and go into cram schools resume in hand, once I arrive. Is Aug 20th too late to be applying to schools?
What are your experiences with this? Could anyone clear this up with me? Thank you very very much.
(I also have some other questions concerning the American visa/60 day visa process, because I am confused as all heck! If anyone could be sweet and PM me, I would be eternally grateful

I’m not sure I understand what you mean. The summer camp is held at the cram school. Do you mean a cram school that has two 6month semesters and no summer camp?

Ahh I see what youre saying. So due to the high turnover rate of cram schools, there are always jobs. But still, wouldn’t there be better prospects for jobs in August than say Sept/Oct, since they are hiring for their new semesters?
