Do I have Labor Pension Case against Former Uni?

In the spring of 2018, for the duration of my last semester at a private uni as a full-time teacher, my school started paying into my labor pension account. I had been working at the school for several years at that point. I had understood, and possibly misunderstood, that the Labor Pension was implemented around 2016/2017. I have been all over that Labor Insurance website, and read posts here, and can’t seem to figure out if I am owed money by my former employer. Does anyone have an idea if I may have a case?
