Do I really need to go to class?

My ARC expired in July and I am leaving Taiwan forever–or at least for a while at the end of August. Rather than get my ARC renewed, I decided to register as a student and take Chinese at TLI in order to get a visa that would take me to the end of my stay. I have one small problem, I now have no time to make it to that class. I do not intend to renew my visa, as I am leaving. I just want to know if anyone from the foreign police will check up on my attendance from now until the end of my stay and turf me out of the country before my time is up?

I used to work at a language center and the FAP never checked with us when I worked there (though we reported students who did not come to class). It really depends on your language center if they will turn you in or not.
