Do Taiwanese girls sleep more than usual?

People in tropical climates are usually lethargic and prone to siestas. Only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun. All these new-fangled theories about pollution and disease - phewy.

And university students. For four years I slept my ass off everyday from lunch to dinner, while my room mate had to do crap like Chemistry practical etc. The joys of a BA…

Somehow, it was fun at first to read the threat, because I thought you guys where just joking and fooling around…

But it turns out its an idiotic and usless threat :loco:

Those of you who really things that all Taiwanese girls are lazy, have hepatitis B or whatsoever disease, just pack your back and go home to your country…

We are guest here in this country, we have accept their habits, especially when they are our GF… maybe we should look at the mirror first before judging others…

:newbie: :roflmao:

Yeah, that’s why I put it in the joke section…

Not really, I wanted to find out if anyone else had the same problems with their partners - it turns out quite a few do, I also wanted to know what people think the underlying reason for this possible cultural difference, again people have given their opinions, which I’m grateful for.

What’s wrong? Did your partner read this thread and your now trying to score brownie points or something? I for one don’t really think the problem is hepatitis B, but some of the other suggestions like the climate, fear of the sun, pollution etc seem quite plausable.

You should have told her to go back to sleep and not worry so much about it. Or better yet tell her “she thinks too much”… :roflmao:

:ohreally: Eh?

And I love how he says ‘we,’ like ‘we should respect . . .’ when it’s obviously from his writing that he’s local. :unamused:

If this 40% has Hep B thing is true, that’s news to me. Very scary news.

According to my wife’s last free (compulsary) company health check, she’s fine so it’s nothing to do with Hep B in her case.

Now she’s telling me she gets extra sleep because it’s good for the skin (according to her).

Still doesn’t explain the movie thing though…

Man, this whole country is double parked.

Great quote and can be interpreted in so many ways !!

everyday im happy for my fanclub :roflmao:

Yes they do sleep a lot more those TW girls. And they fall asleep at a drop of the hat. They need bout 8 to 10 hours of sleep a day. Feed accordingly.

I don’t know many Taiwanese girls, but Taiwanese women certainly do sleep a lot.

What I really hate is when I go to a restaurant or cafe, and there are no tables available because people are just laying there sleeping. I mean, that’s just ridiculous. And at like, 8 or 9 in the morning. Seriously, who goes out for breakfast – presumably soon after waking up – and goes right back to sleep? Or, if it’s because you stayed up all night playing online games – don’t do that!

I’ve already woken someone up once and told them to move, and I have no compunctions about doing it again.

Never mind 8 or 9 in the morning, I go to Starbucks almost everyday around 3pm and there’s always a couple of sleeping bodies taking up space… sometimes they don’t even have drinks next to them either :fume:

That gets to me too, and people reading magazines cover to cover at bookstores (with no intention of ever buying them) blocking actual buyers (me! :fume: ) from perusing the stand…

Hey, speak for yourself. I don’t have to accept my wifes bad habits just because I’m a foreigner. I accept her bad habits because she accepts mine. Anyway, we have every right to come here or go down pub to bitch and moan about our…special others habits in whatever country we live.

Personally, I like it when my wife sleeps 'coz I can sneak out to the 711 for more beer, surf porn sites and chat online.

I’ve learned that unforced consideration for other people is not a trait most Taiwanese have. If someone’s in your way you have to tell them to move. If you want something, you have to take it.
