Do working documents need to be authenticated?

Im going to Taiwan soon, and there is a possibility I will stay and look for a teaching position.

On the mainland, documents like diplomas, teaching licenses, criminal background checks, etc all need to be authenticated (state apostille and chinese embassy stamped) before a working permit can be applied for.

Is it the same in Taiwan? If so, I want to have them all authenticated before I leave the US so that I don’t need to return to do it. I’m also not certain what kind of authentication is required in Taiwan, if it’s required.

Thanks for any advice.

Authentication is required by whatever city/country TECO office your document originated from.

Thank you. I wasn’t sure what “TECO” was, but i found my areas office online. I appreciate your help!
