Does Anyone Get Asked about Missing Indian Sailors on Facebook?

On our Facebook site we are frequently asked by a lady from India about here missing brothers. She claims her brothers drowned off the coast of the northern Philippines in a storm on October 13th last year. According to news reports on that day it did happen:

If there were any survivors they should have been found by now, unless they are living on a deserted island somewhere, right? If they were washed ashore in Taiwan, this should have made the news and the Indian representatives here would have been contacted, right?

Does anyone know about this or does anyone else get contacted by the lady? Could it be a scam attempt of sorts?
