Does the Health Check Check for Herpes?

I was diagnosed with herpes a couple of years ago. I recently got a job in Taiwan, therefore I want to know if they do tests for herpes, 2. Can my application for work permit &residency get declined if they find out I have herpes and probably get deported?

Please help!

The health check does not check for Herpes and they won’t deport you.

They test for HIV, Hep B, Syphilis. Most certainly not Herpes.

Is the health check a government requirement, a teaching job or similar, or the companies requirement? If the former they will not check for herpes, the latter is also highly unlikely but worth checking the requirements for the medical first.

Yeah. You’re gonna be fine. Don’t worry. They stopped deporting for HIV as well.

They did? So no deporting for STDs of any kind?

Those that ask shall receive. Note. I only said HIV.

Thanks! I think this is great news. More people should routinely be checked for all types of diseases and this helps.

Why, do you have any knowledge of other diseases that might get you deported?

Because I don’t know about the others and what the consequences are for contracting them.

I know some nationalities get a more rigourous check and stuff.
