Dr. Stretch: anyone try it before?

Has anyone tried Dr. Stretch before? Stretch Therapist—Dr. stretch I saw their shop on Dunhua Rd near Zhongxiao Dunhua MRT and at first thought it was a stupid gimmick, but now im wondering if its worth it.

A 40 minute session is 1200, which seems to be in line with what private athletic trainers charge.

Do they just stretch your muscles for you? Is doing something like this lazy when you could just sign up for a yoga class and do active stretching?

I’ve thought about trying them because I like to stretch.

I don’t like people doing any kind of odd things with my back like twisting a certain way or trying to pop it. So I never went in.

my understanding is that it is more of a sports massage, focused on stretching. not a training session.

I went to their quick 15 min sessions a few times(in Japan though, but it’s the same franchise) and it was quite helpful to stretch my TFL. (Especially because the trainer teached me exercises I could do at home to improve my runner’s knee). However, sometimes they are “too careful” and you have to ask them to push a bit harder if you actually want to feel the stretch.
