Pretty large in Hualien. Felt we were close to the epicentre. Iād say at least a sixer.

We live a click or two from the centre of that. Scary and loud as anything.

Loud as in you can hear the earth shaking. A large crashing sound. Surprised to find it was only 5.1.
So maybe something happened in Hualienā¦ a building or a road collapsedā¦?
No, it was just the sound of the quake itself. Our house sits on a minor fault-line, and we were right on top of that one. Woke us all up, and got us ready to take shelter.
Says itās a 4 in Taichung but didnāt feel a thing on the 30th floor

Oh, I bet that scared a lot of people. We have a small place in Mei Luon (sp?). Probably scary there as I see it was a 5 on the Richter scale right there in the city.
I thought I dreamt it. Well I think the one in my dream was a lot bigger

Yep. It took a 6.5 to bring several buildings down. 5 is too close for comfort.

A 6.5 is almost 200 times stronger, in terms of energy, than a 5. Not close at all.

Psychologically it is. You and I know that but people who live in the area where a few months ago some buildings came down, may jump at a passing truck, let alone a new quake.
I feel the same whenever I hear or see helicopters. Bad memories.
