So, how frequently does this sort of thing occur? I’d been feeling the building shaking roughly every day for the last week but I assumed it was just the building elevator. This one was stronger though…

Yes, just saw the newer one timed at 14:47 - 5.4 - 92km E of Hualien.
Not a jolt in Taoyuan. Weird.

I felt it. Very low frequency. The kind that makes me feel kind of sea sick for a couple of second.

@yam - Earthquakes are reported on the CWB site - usually about 5 minutes after they are felt. Link is below. There are no doubt some tiny local ones that don’t make their list. Most, but not all, occur along and off the East Coast from about Yilan down to Taitung.
