The Hualien big one a few years back had over 500 aftershocks. That went on for days.

I think thatās the first time Iāve felt an aftershock in a few years? (Danshui.) Could be a long night in some parts of the island. I hope thereās no serious damage.

Showing now what looks like a Japanese style old house down in Taitung, water pipes broken in Kaohsiung, damage to roads and bridges. Bottles broken and on the floor in convenience stores.

I didnāt think it was such a big different from one end to another of the island!
Somehow it seems you are sheltered from the contact point between the Eurasian plate and the Philippine plateāthatās where this earthquake occurred.

They just keep coming
Did not feel these 1-2 last ones. I removed some decorations we had on the wall that made clinging sounds during earthquakes. Stressed me more than the actual shake of the aftershocksā¦
