Anyway, I said what oh you’re there that is the scene of a panic back in 2018 when Lompoc had that major quake and many parts of it was heavily damaged and quite a few people died. I think it was I don’t know five or 600 people I forget. the gili islands had seven or eight people die but most of the buildings were destroyed, and there was panic because the islands are super low. There’s only a small elevation above the ocean, and people were in fear of tsunami’s coming, and everybody was struggling to try to get on boats to be evacuated from the islands. The scenes of the devastation and destruction in turkey are mind-boggling and extremely extremely sad. Beyond horrific
There are some amazing saves though and that is just so wonderful to see how some people who defy the odds have been rescued is just a miracle
There is a Volcano - Mt Rinjani - on Lombok that erupted a few years ago.
