Electric standing desks

It seems like the brands are totally different from what’s in the US - does anyone have any experience with Taiwanese standing desks that have a motor? For example:

Ikea has one which exists in both the US and Taiwan, but it seems that they have a pretty low weight capacity at 70kg:

I don’t use a motorized one but I ended up just buying a stand desk off Amazon. It was cheaper than the local costco options.

I saw some adjustable tables from bestmade when i was buying a chair from them. Their stuff seems a little on expensive side but the quality is solid.

Thanks for the rec, looking at the Bestmade website it seems like they only make standing desk accessories, and not the desk itself? :man_shrugging:

I got a Taiwanese motorized one during the lockdown this year and I’m very happy with it!

The ikea ones are great. I’ve bought a few of them. Even paid the small fee to have them delivered and put together. They’re quite heavy.
The weight maximum should not be a concern unless you’re using them in a funeral home.

My main concern with the weight maximum is stability/wobble. Also I’m likely to mount a ~48” TV to it to use as a monitor, which is only about 15kg but still.

Is it pretty stable? No side to side or front to back wobble?

They make the full desk and the size can be customized.

not sure why they don’t have their desks listed o.o but here is one of their adjustable height desks

Actually I think I found it now, poor website design. Looks like Funte brand desks: 【升降桌】 | Bestmade 人學院

edit: looks like we found the same thing

poor website design indeed. their stuff is really solid though, they have a physical store you can visit to try out their products so you can inspect the quality first.

Nice, I’ll definitely head there after I’m out of quarantine. The base table versions look pretty good and fairly priced, at least from the website, and they have some interesting stone (?) options for the desktop.

Solid wood options seem to be a bit overpriced though unfortunately.

yea their stuff is a lil pricey. i went with their chair cz i was able to verify the quality in person as i finally had enough of using a shitty chair

I’m looking to sell exactly this one: https://www.funtetw.com/products/standing-desk-120x80

The maple model. It includes a headphone stand and charging ports.

I’ve used it for ~9 months and am selling it because I’ve relocated. It has no defects and is in pristine condition. PM me your best offer.

Sounds nice! I’ll need to wait until I’m out of quarantine and have a place so I can see how much space I’ll have.

Not electric but I like it. Is it available in Taiwan?

How about standing desk mats? I’m ideally looking for something like the Ergodriven Topo, with a pretty dense cushion and some bumps/ridges for variety. I would just buy this one but I can’t seem to find it available here in Taiwan.

Anyone interested?
