Elon Musk's Magnificent Business Thread

You have to think that history is being repeated here, somehow.

And stay, it’ll be great.

The wealth and the ability to transact business these days is well, staggering. Enjoy the celebrity. Be carefuls.

And yeah, no. I’m not directly buying* into any of this— buncha nonsense. :grandpa:

*Not that it matters. Like LEVIS, they’re going private.

The social media giant confirmed Monday the Tesla CEO and billionaire will acquire the company in a deal worth $44 billion. Once the deal is complete, which is expected by this year, Twitter will become a privately held company.

Good job, Elon. The greatest problem solver of our time.

He’ll take it public again after he’s delved into the algorithms a tad bit.

I still won’t be returning to that toxic place but I’m happy it won’t just be toxic shit hole censoring people.

Man, Twitter’s gonna be really fun to read as private company.

…and POOF! just like that the narrative that the “elites” will not allow Musk to purchase Twitter disappears.

Funding secured

I think he is kind of elite himself isn’t he?

ha ha…

Some might say he’s an American oligarch.

People are afraid of what people might say, anonymously, online, for some reason.

Is that about it?

He’s a self-absorbed twit, flying into space while a pandemic rages below.

He’s the last guy I’d count on to solve things.

Guy

Not really the scathing rebuke it’s intended to be.

Open-sourced accounting at the UN is a good start.

Gavin Phipps on ICRT, who has an uncanny ability to mispronounce all proper nouns, even gets Elon Musk wrong.

He must be doing it on purpose. It’s his schtick.

Moosk?

Yawl?

That doesn’t sound like Elon, either. What a hack!

He’s actually a really good newsreader.

He pronounces Elon with a short e.

If he bought that with cash I’m really impressed.
Even for the richest guy in the world that’s a lot of money to put down in one go. Just the financial logistics of it all.
