Embedding twitter posts with images

I know of some pictures of cats on Twitter I’d like to post up on the cat forum, but seems I cannot embed Twitter posts with images (text shows up but only image thumbnail). As you can imagine the pussycat overlords are not pleased. Any way around?/Would be nice to have (AFIK should be possible on discourse).

Good morning, #Giants fans. Some news: All signs are pointing to Matt Patricia, the New England Patriots defensive coordinator, as the man the Giants will hire as their next head coach https://t.co/oQCmdi3D0f

The top link I used the “copy link to Tweet” button, and the next “embed tweet”. So you have to click on the link to see the image. Or…

https://pbs.twimg.com/card_img/951086877267853312/I8VHqZLo?format=jpg&name=600x314

That’s a direct link to the image, but the link format won’t allow it to be recognized and absorbed by Discourse directly. You’d have to save the image to your device and then upload it.

Here’s a discussion and post at discourse.org, with an embedded tweet displaying the image in full:

It could be a version/setting issue.

Hmm, thanks for the link. I see a potential fix and will look into it

Two out of three not bad

I shouldn’t have played the video in the last link. Now I’m pissed with the attitude of some people…:rage:
And the staff let her take the train still!:face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Wow, great response, thank you!
