The book series, which covers, nature, technology, history, etc., was published in Taipei. No date was shown, but according to the mobile phones the size of two bricks and other illustrations, I estimate it to be late 80s/early 90s

Possibly it was just based on the science of the time and not with an agenda, unless it specifically said it was only Chinese who descended from homo habilis.

Getting back to language, I read an article years ago that early Christian missionaries tried to show that Chinese had connections to the Pentateuch as demonstrated in images in Chinese characters. This still gets passed around on occasion today. No scholar of Chinese agrees.
