I was wondering what’s the typical renovation cost for a 40+ year old house? Mostly internal renovation, repainting, basic touchups with no woodwork and structure wiring. How do they work? How much do they typically cost? House is in Yilan, TW.
very difficult to answer this… if its just painting it will be around 80,000 NT for a 40 ping house. if you need to replace doors, windows, tiles, bath tub etc the sky is the limit.
I am no 100% sure the entire ping of the house. I think its like 30-66ping or something like that. I am used to square feet so not sure how ping works. Its like 3 stories tall, and most likely need structure wiring to replace the old style first and just tear down wooden structures and repaint the concrete walls.
Replacing doors, windows, tiles and bath tubs are minor for now. Thank you.

for you to get a sense of scale, 40 ping is roughly a 3 bed room apartment.
that is a quote I got recently for paint only, without any demolition.
for wiring and wood work you need to get someone to come and evaluate.

I am trying to learn how to scrape off paint, clean it and then apply paint myself, but time may not be on my side at the moment. But thank you for the comment.
Yes, I think I’ll need to get some quotes but just want to get a sense of how much I would need to spend to avoid being ripped off.
