Italyâs business is doing better the Germany recently, Germany is pulling EU numbers down. Po Valley is really a industrial powerhouse in itself, as well fashion +/design power if not even tops in the world.
Is Taiwan good for machine tools? I do not know anyone in this line of work.
This could be a stretch, depending on what you mean by ânumbersâ and âdownâ. Is it like a boy scouts trip where they are running around pantsing people, or what exactly is going on?
Thanks, seems not worth the trouble to visit. I found island of Italy in Taiwan, a cafe with nice stand up coffee bar, had a 檸檏é Limoncello
they have chilled meats for take away too
Milano , someone (a young man) threw sauce at the back of me (a scam). nothing lost or taken (still not happy though), since I did not stop walking till a place that had lights and ask (told) him something, he ran off.
I flew in from Estonia, so I let my guard down a bit (Estonia/Finland is like Japan, pretty safe). Italy still a great place to visit, a few bad people here though.
Except for being a haven for international drug smugglers and gangsters. And perhaps millions in drug money connected to the infamous Howard Marks, who buried his Mr. Nice passport there.
Sadly, âPickpocket!â videos filmed in Europeâs big cities have become a new genre on Youtube and Tic Toc. Itâs not just Italy, same goes for Spain, France, England, etc. Seems difficult to stop because itâs organized crime. Wonder how badly this affects tourism over the long term.
I had a dream last night. In the dream I had gone back to the states, transferring via Tokyo. When I arrived to the states, I left my phone somewhere like any taiwanese would do, and it was taken.
Just got back from 20 days in Provence with the family right before the Olympics. What a lovely place! We rented a villa (since we are a group of 10 with 5 kids), and enjoyed complete privacyâŚ
We stayed in Avignon and Eygalières respectively. Make sure you take a car and drive along D6 in late June to early July and you will see endless lavender fields! We also drove down to Nice, Canne and Marseille to do some touristy stuffâŚ
South France is very affordable and people are super nice! Food is also fantasticâŚjust be aware restaurants close between 2-8 pm (so if you are hungry during that time you probably will have to go to fast-food chains). I love the village culture there too, you go to the local butcher, groceries, bakeries on a daily basis and the merchants all know you and greet you like an old friend.
Since I read so many horror story about Airbnb being cancelled the last minute, we used Only Provence website to reserve our rental, they are responsive and put everything in a contract ! The hosts were great and attentive, one of the houses we stayed used to be owned by a Louise 14thâs Musketeers!
Pls eat more local food! Fritto misto alla piemontese, agnolotti del plin, tajarin, pizza al tegamino, gran bollito misto alla piemontese, vitello tonnato, antipasti misti alla piemontese, bunet, gianduiotti, polenta with the various meat and polenta concia
