Explain this to me

If so many people so him eject, why did he stay 4 hours in the water before he got rescued?

An erection during ejection?

Forced him to stay in the water after injection in the sea.

Probably.

Ocean is big, person is small, jets fly fast?

Yeah, but witnesses saw him eject. His wingman saw him eject and would have made a note of the position. He probably has a locator beacon and purple dye so that he is easy to locate. Also, the radar would have seen his last known position and directed fast helicopters to the scene.

Plus theres a big parachute floating around nearby.

One has to take into consideration the time for rescue personnel (boats or helo’s) to reach him and Ocean currents. He would have had to get rid of his p’chute, deployed his Mae West and would have drifted some. Depending on the strength of the current, maybe a few miles from where he originally went down.

In these cases, unless there is a boat or ship in the immediate vicinity, you can expect a few hours in the water.
