Extending Finding Job ARC for the second time

So, I just graduated last year. Which means it’s time for me to apply for another ‘Job Seeking ARC’ extension! Does anyone know what to prepare and how long will the ARC take? Also, I’m planning to go back to my country for a month before my ARC expires (6/31). Can I apply 30+ days before it expires? I know I can ask the 移民署 for this, but my district’s Immigration are not the brightest…

I am not sure about the Job-seeking ARC interaction with student status. However back in the day, I asked the NIA very specifically how the job-finding ARC works, and they told me that you can get 6 months, and extend it once for a total of one year of job-finding ARC. Once you get a valid employment ARC, your eligibility for the job-finding ARC resets. So theoretically you could go through the process of getting a work permit and employment ARC, and then immediately quit, and get another year of job-finding. Rinse & repeat for a few years until you’re eligible for an APRC (job-finding counts toward this, I specifically asked this as well).

Without more details about your current and previous ARC status, I have no idea if you’re eligible for the job-finding ARC right now.

I know I can ask the 移民署 for this

That is probably your best bet as long as go in informed and ask specific & detailed questions.

I went and applied. Turns out it was very easy, the same the usual. Just hand in required documents (passport) plus 1000 NTD and you’re done. Another one year for you.
